What happened?

Ok, I know that 9/11 happened on George Bush's watch, and he had the intel reports on his desk that this was likely to happen but to be fair it was on Clintons desk before him. Does that make it ok, not really.

So in the end we elected or were appointed Bush as our leader, what a blessing for Osama Bin Laden and gang. They went ahead and got us in a quagmire in Iraq, and did so by lying about it. They said at first that Saddam was supporting Al Qeada then they said there were weapons of mass destruction. You know the rest. Somehow the whimpy democrats didn't think this was a good enough cause for impeachment while the republicans were foaming at the mouth over a cum stain on Monica's dress. 

As I was stating the fact that Bush II was our president at the time was the best thing that Bin Laden could have hoped for. Instead of focusing on punishing the perpetrators of the crime he actually said "I don't think to much about Osama Bin Laden". Well if I were the president of a country that was attacked like ours was that would be at the top of my thoughts until I caught the Mother Fucker. But no not our moronic president, he starts a war that is financially foolish while cutting taxes for the rich and healthcare for the middle class and the poor. 

This war has cost us Americans our good name, our taxes into the distant futur. It has cost and the lives of our people not to mention the many more of Iraqi's who will now hate America for at least a full generation, whereby we may have inflicted terrorism by way of this war on our grand children. Way to go George, you've made this country safer, for oil companies. 

Now what about the tactics of this war. The republicans have, before their power was crippled by their own bad judgement, gone to bat to allow our forces to commit torture. Aren't we supposed to be the good guys? We've lost so many freedoms, and some I'm willing to loose if it means more security but the security that the Bush administration envisions, (well do they have any real vision?) is that of taking freedoms from ordinary Americans and giving it to the oil companies and foreign interests.              

We're tapping phone calls illegally and yet there are a reported nine month backlog of files to be translated from Arabic. I don't feel safer knowing this.
